DIY Lip Balm |
You will need
- bees wax,
- coconut oil
- , a small piece of an old lipstick (for tint),
- a teacup of vitamin E (moisturizer)
- any essential oil you want for a nice smell and texture.
Mix in a small bowl, the beeswax with the coconut oil in a small bowl and place it in the microwave for 1 minute, until the ingredients melt.
Add the other ingredients and microwave for another 10 seconds. Pour the mix into containers and let cool in the fridge. And Bam yoiu have a yummy homemade lip balm!
I think I’m going to try this out. I’m definitely not a lipstick person but I like color on my lips. I definitely want something that is moisturizing and healthy for you. I may add some aloe as well. You try to find products like this, which are available it’s just that the cost of them is crazy. 12-15 bucks for some “all natural” lip balm is way too much.
ReplyDeleteI am not a lipstick person either. I always feel like my teeth look yellow when I wear it! :( I agree with you that beeswax is awesome. I wish I could find some really good lip gloss because I feel pretty when I wear it, but I haven't worn any since high school! (So long ago! Lol.) Now all I wear (and I put it own about 1000 times a day,) is Burt's Bees Peppermint and Vitamin E. I love it. I just wish that it contained sunblock in it, so that when I am in the sun my lips won't get burnt! One day, maybe!
